If it weren't for the stench of fake vanilla, I would have loved these candles. There was no mention in the description or packaging that they are scented.

These do feel, look and smell(!) like real candles however once you switch on the flickering light it's obvious it's a battery candle. The flickering is nice but the orange industrial light color is really annoying and completely spoils the entire look - they look like joke candles when they are on. They don't provide any real light in the dark either. Don't know if there is a better alternative out there to no-flame candles. We bought these because we have a toddler that is in to everything, so open flame is a real no-no. Just wish the light wasn't so orange.

I bought a huge amount of these candles for a Candle-light Advent program back in December. Unlike the cheap tea-light candles, these beauties really look real and when grouped together the flicker effect is mesmerizing and extremely life-like. The audience couldn't even tell the difference between the 3 dozen Gerson candles and 3 or 4 real candles I used.
Hint for grouping more than one set.... group like sizes together so the uniformity doesn't give it away.

My mother was convincing me to buy flameless candles because she loves hers. She bought her set on QVC. I was on their web sight to buy them and found that they were almost $40.00 for a set of 3 (they had timers though) so I searched Amazon and found these. I thought to save money I can do without the timers. When I got them they worked fine and I was happy with them until I saw my mothers. They are bigger and even feel better quality wise. They look more realistic and are amazing. I am in the process of ordering those now. Overall, they are what they advertise, but I have seen better if you are willing to pay a little more for them.

My first reaction out of the box was how small they were. If you're going to buy these, I think you need to get out a measuring tape and do a reality check on how big these things actually are. I anticipated something bigger. That was not these. I've never seen a real life candle in this size. They look like a childs version of the real thing.
