5 out of 5 stars Great clock radio for our Son!   September 1, 2010
David Stickley
Our son loves the clock radio we bought him and it gives him the independence to listen to whatever he wants. Fast great shipping again from Amazon which is always a pleasure to do business with!

1 out of 5 stars CD PLAYER BROKE WITHIN 2 MONTHS   August 22, 2010
kmg
I purchased 2 of these to have for my kid's rooms to listen to CDs at night. I only used one because 2nd child being born next month. After 2 months the CD player on the one I used just stopped working. I brought out the other one that was still in the box and it doesn't work.

I should have checked both of them when I purchased them, but they were uncomplicated so I thought it would be fine. I am now out the money for both players. I purchased these inexpensive players and clocks because of the recommendations and the low use they would be getting.

In this case, I got what I paid for...CHEAP (NO)GOODS!

1 out of 5 stars Don't Buy This!   August 10, 2010
Luv My Boys (Maine)
UPS just delivered this alarm clock. My 7 year son has eagerly awaited its arrival as his first alarm clock - one with a CD player, too, so he could wake up to a favorite tune and we didn't have to worry about him hearing the horrible morning news or something inappropriate on the radio.

Well... plugged it in and 12:00 flashes, but when you push the CLOCK SET button and try to set the time with the arrows, nothing! Kind of defeats the purpose of a clock. Should have trusted a few of the other reviews. : (

It's very light and shabbily made and well... should have paid more for the other one on here! Back it goes today. Nothing better than boxing something back up and dragging a slew of kids to the post office to mail it back. Grrrrrr...

Look elsewhere is my advice.

1 out of 5 stars Alarm always on - poor design   August 5, 2010

This is a funny little clock. I like the fact that it had a CD you could wake to. I like that it has a small footprint (well, it was smaller than the one it was replacing), I like the big numbers and apparent ease of use. When it came time to set the alarm, no problem. But to turn off the alarm for those days when you don't want to use it - it says "Push the alarm button repeatedly until lights quit flashing."
Thats it, just push it "repeatedly" - push it once, push it repeatedly, don't push it, and the lights are gonna flash.
Being able to turn the alarm off when you want seems to have been a last minute decision in design. Really kind of funny. So I just turn the volume completely down and let the alarm go off.
But that seemed so stupid to have to do all the time...so I returned it.
