Modern, stylish, minimal and inexpensive September 2, 2010

I purchased the Chaney Indoor Thermometer and Humidity Gauge to measure the effectiveness of a small room dehumidifier I recently purchased. I can't speak to the accuracy of the readings as I have nothing to compare it to, but it seems to respond quickly to atmospheric changes; for instance, if I open a window. Unfortunately the small dehumidifier doesn't even make a dent in the humidity but I'm so pleased with this device I'll be keeping it none the less. The display is simple to read and shows High-OK-Low which makes interpreting the readings easy at a quick glance. The addition of the thermometer is a huge plus and the nerdy side of me would love to correlate and graph this information. The device has a small kickstand which allows it to stand up on its own or if you'd prefer, there's a small spring loaded clip on the back which can be used to clip the device somewhere useful. The silver and black finish is sheik and classy and I am not embarrassed at all to leave it out while I've got company.
Would have been a 5 star review with the addition of a reset switch on the back to reset the 24 hour readings although, I'm not sure I find this information all that useful. (According to other reviewers the battery needs to be pulled to reset the 24 hour readings) The addition of some sort of interface to aggregate data (perhaps through mini USB) would make this product outstanding.
The bottom line is that for ~$20 this is probably the most stylish and effective device you can buy. I would purchase it again in a heartbeat or buy it as a gift for my grandparents, seeing as old people find climate fascinating.
 Not Accurate No Adjustment No Min Max Reset Button August 23, 2010

My unit reads 5 points below accurate gauges I own and there is no way to adjust it. It has a wonderful digital display but I can find no way to reset the Min Max without actually removing the battery. I just sent an email to the supplier asking for return refund instrustions but this has already cost $5 to receive and I think I will be paying 50% of the unit's cost just to find out the hard way. I doubt that the positive reviews are based on actual reference to other accurate instruments owned.

its pretty accurate. displays temp and humidity. I really like it.
compared to other devices i already own, its pretty great. Just what I expected. The size is small so i can carry it anywhere and place it wherever I want.
