Product Description
The Neverlate Executive is simply the most flexible alarm clock ever made. Dual 7-day schedules ("his & hers" if you will) plus a bank of "daily reminder" alarms accommodate any morning routine. Everything from the backlight brightness to the alarm duration is customizable. Any of the 20 station presets and 4 buzzer tones can be linked to each alarm - wake up to the buzzer Mon-Fri and NPR on the weekends. The long-awaited successor to the original Neverlate 7-day Alarm Clock, the Executive does not lack for new and exciting features.

2 out of 5 stars Wouldn't Buy It Again   July 16, 2010

The Neverlate Executive Alarm Clock looks good on paper but needs several improvements. Knowing what I do now, I wouldn't buy this.
First and foremost is the horrible display. If you want to sleep in a dark room, this thing shines in your face like a flashlight. If you turn it towards the wall, it lights up a 2 foot by 2 foot area so you could almost read the wall. Yes, it has a dim control called "GLOW" but even on it's weakest setting it is still too bright. They really need to work on that.

Another area for improvement is the layout of the controls. Reach for the snooze alarm when it goes off and the first thing you find is big knob in the middle of the top. I'm sure after a few days of fumbling you'll train yourself but why not make it easy?

It has lots of features cobbled together, it just feels like no thought was given to actual use.

4 out of 5 stars Nice clock   July 13, 2010

Nice clock. I like being able to set two alarms. I would have liked the option of no alarm on the weekend.

1 out of 5 stars Initially promising, Ultimately frustrating   June 21, 2010

I was pretty excited when I got this alarm clock; it had just about all of the features I wanted, and most reviewers on Amazon were absolutely raving about it. And for a few months, I could understand why. The alarm was sufficiently loud to wake me up most of the time, and times when it didn't wake me up were simply attributed to my tendency to go to bed terribly late. But those times became more and more frequent; very soon I was "sleeping through" the alarm as much as I was being woken by it.

So I did some experimenting, and what do I find but the top rotary button (on of two essential to setting the alarm) would switch by itself between the position I wanted it to be in and either of the two adjacent positions, one of which happened to be "All Off" - meaning all alarms off.

I attribute this to the buttons mechanism wearing down over time, and I would quietly buy myself a new alarm if this were just about any other alarm clock. But no, this is a $60 alarm clock, about the most expensive I've seen, and such a mechanical failure after only a few months is unacceptable.

I urge you not to base your purchase on the 5-star reviews by reviewers who obviously have not used the alarm for a long period of time. I spent my money expecting a well-built and functional alarm clock, and after a few months it is obviously not the former and is no longer the latter. If you read through the lower-rating reviews, you will see that I am not the only one who has had this problem.

5 out of 5 stars Ninja Approved   June 3, 2010

As said in previous reviews, you do not know what the alarm sounds like until you actually have it set and it goes off at the appropriate time. Great alarm clock, hands down. It does start at 0700 when you are setting up a time and has seven daily alarm times you can set along with daily alarms for him/her. You could not ask for a better alarm then this one right here. Military, Geek, Ninja Approved.

5 out of 5 stars Great Product   May 30, 2010

I'm not going to go into all the details about the product since the other reviewers have already done so. The amount of customization available is great and I don't find the on/off button is too close to the snooze as others have mentioned. One thing I want add is that I intended to use the USB port on the back to charge my iPhone 3GS and free up a wall plug, but unfortunately it doesn't provide enough power to do so. I can't fault the manufacturer for this, but it's something I wanted to share in case you intended to do the same.
