Always know what time it is. The ICF-C318 has a 0.9" green LED display, which is easily viewable from across the room, but takes up very little space on your nightstand. It hosts a number of features including dual alarm, extendable snooze bar, built-in calendar and full power memory back up.

Always know what time it is. The Sony ICF-C318 Automatic Time Set Clock Radio with Dual Alarm has a 0.9" green LED display that is easily viewable from across the room, but takes up very little space on your nightstand. It hosts a number of features including automatic time set, automatic Daylight Savings Time adjustment, dual alarm, built-in calendar, AM/FM tuner and full power memory back up. The correct EST (Eastern Standard Time) has been preset at the factory, so just plug the clock in and adjust the time zone as necessary. Dual alarms with individual alarm indicators let you set two separate wake-up times with differing wake-up settings. In the case of a power interruption, the built-in Lithium battery maintains the correct time so when the power returns you don't have to re-set the clock.

5 out of 5 stars Another great Sony clock.   March 7, 2010
King David (Milwaukee, WI)
Purchased an older model 15 years ago. Just needed a new clock for another room. Easy to use, great for a college room. Large numbers, just wish you could dim the amount of light. Radio is okay, no Bose but will do.

5 out of 5 stars best alarm clock   March 1, 2010
Jack Goodwin
This is a great alarm clock. Purchased it after being later due to a daylight savings mixup. That doesn't happen anymore. Always know what time it is. Always wake up thanks to a loud alarm. Not the most pleasant way to wake up, I'll admit, but it does the job.

These things last forever. My last one, which didn't set itself, was still going strong after 15-20 years. A good buy.

2 out of 5 stars Mostly love but a bit of hate relationship   February 28, 2010
summerwine (Okanagan, British Columbia)
For a start, I love practically everything about this alarm clock/radio. Practically!

I can't say enough about all the aspects of this alarm clock ...but this one...

The two alarm switches on the top of the clock each have Off / Radio / Buzzer selections and are so easy to switch from one to the other that I can change accidentally and inadvertently these settings in my sleep if I bump them so I can't trust this product to make sure I get up in time. If i try to hit the snooze elongated button and in any way "brush" either of the alarm settings to the right and left sides, they will change or turn off.

Further, my cat climbed onto my night table and brushed both buttons and caused me a lot of panic when I finally got up almost too late for a meeting.

When you miss anything scheduled there is cost. Sometimes the cost can be huge and sometimes it can be unrecoverable.

Think about it. This is a serious flaw with a near perfect, in all other ways, alarm clock.

Stay tuned for a review of some other alarm clock I will obviously purchase.

BTW - I have one of these for sale.

3 out of 5 stars not loud enough   February 28, 2010
Laila Sultana (BROOKLYN, NY, US)
it's not loud enough.
radio is not that good, because it doesnt have any kind of an antana. but for a radio w/o an antana its pretty good
you can see the #s in the dark, but its pale yellow, it would be so much better if the #s were red and much thicker.
2 alarms, and easy to set alarm
sets the time automatically so that takes care of the hassle of setting the time. its a bit odd shaped, and balky.
the snooze button could be bigger.

4 out of 5 stars Nice, but small   February 26, 2010
William Carson (Key Largo FL)
This was one of only two clock radios that met our simple requirements:

-Dual alarm
-Large face that could be read facing it
-Battery backup
-Easy to change times

The radio reception is okay, not excellent. My only complaint is that it's a little small and light. The buttons are close together, but not so much that they can't be used, and the clock slides on our metal cabinet when adjusting it. I'd have gladly paid more for a version that was double the size and weight.
