Realistic!! April 25, 2010 T. Deangelis 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am very impressed. It is so realistic. It shows sparks being thrown off; really! it is fabulous. Psychologically, it is relaxing too. I ordered it with the free shipping and it came 2 days, which is amazing because I am in remote location in Alaska. The item shipped from Pennsylvania. I did read the warrenty info, and it was interesting to note this item has no warranty in Hawaii, Alaska, and the provinces of Northern Canada. I bought this model because of the reviews being mostly good. The cheaper model had many bad reviews.
I am pretty happy about this purchase, but only time will tell. I am concerned about the durablity of the product. I will update this review as time goes forward.
Cute, but... April 13, 2010 B. Brown (Dayton, OH) We were so excited about getting this after reading the reviews. It's really nice looking, and it does throw heat. However, we used this 6-7 evenings in one month just to help heat a small living room and our electric bill went up nearly $100. I don't know if we got a lemon or what, but seeing reviews on how efficient it was, that bill was shocking. We only use the flame now for ambiance. Too bad, because we want to love it, but we're afraid to use it because of the amount of power it draws.
cozy. March 31, 2010 Michael G. Kelly (Lou.,Ky.) So far this product has been really great. It heats the area in which i have it, very nicely. So far,so good.
"Wonderful Product" March 27, 2010 BigMCarr (Texas) I ordered this, hoping to lower my electric bill and to make our living room have a more cozy feeling.
I have recieved my electric bill and it helped lower my bill by $70.00. Since, This product could really pay for itself over time. I am looking to purchase another for use in another part of our home. Once I turned this little heater on our central unit did not need to kick on anymore.
I use it in my living / kitchen space which is 500 sq. ft. The rest of the doors in the house were left open, but it would need a 2nd heater to evenly heat the entire house of 1170 sq ft. The look is true to the photo and a very nice addition to the room. The flame effect is appealing. Love the fact that you can unplug it right after it being in operation and move it without the outside of the unit being hot.
Very Happy with my purchase!
As Expected March 16, 2010 J. Deltener (North Dakota) It looks exactly like the photo and operates as expected. In a basement with no interior walls (unfinished/uninsulated) it will create a hot pocket about 10x10 after a few hours of use in the middle of winter in an unheated basement. With a normal/insulated room I think it would preform quite well. It doesn't give off as much heat as a toaster oven style heater, but I feel much better having this around the kids and don't feel I have to worry about thomas the tank engine ending up in a molten puddle of goo. I hate fake electric fireplaces, but this one is actually pretty cute.
