5 out of 5 stars Great Clock, Instructions took some study.   July 26, 2010
Dennis
Clock is great. Looks just as I hoped.
Only deal, I had a hard time understanding the "setting" instructions.
Most likely just me, I called La Crosse and they quickly walked
me through the Daylight Savings Time setting feature. The clock works and looks great.

5 out of 5 stars There's no Step 3.   July 24, 2010
Joseph Ekaitis (Southern California)
Step 1: Insert AA alkaline battery into battery holder and press the button corresponding to your Time Zone in the USA.

Step 2: Hang clock on wall.

That's it.

We did that around 6:00pm on the day the clock arrived and within seconds, the hands were spinning to the correct time. After a couple weeks in operation, the second hand still syncs perfectly to the ticks of the atomic clock at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (which you can verify by calling the audio feed of radio station WWV at 303-499-7111).

This is the first radio-controlled clock we've owned that set itself to the correct time while the sun was still up, not in the wee hours of the morning. It's hanging on a wall that runs north/south so the built-in antenna is in the optimal position to receive the signal. We plan to get another for an inside wall that's at a 90-degree angle from the other location, so that will be a true test of the clock's ability to grab the signal out of the air.

5 out of 5 stars Exactly what I as looking for   July 12, 2010

I was looking for a clock for the fellowship hall at our church. This one is large enough to be seen from anywhere in the room, and the face is clear and uncluttered so it's easy to read. I as a bit confused at first about how it was going to set itself, but followed the directions and by the next day it was automatically set to the right time! The wooden frame is beautiful and enhances our decor. Very pleased!

4 out of 5 stars Good Clock   June 27, 2010
Gary B. Washmon (Denton, Texas)
Works well in the non-optimal spot it was placed in. Curved glass causes a few reflections making it a little difficult to see at times (we had a digital in the same place and replaced it because we thought this type would be easier to read - it is). All in all, I would recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful, Classic, Reliable!   June 27, 2010

This clock is beautiful! I am very happy with this purchase.
Radio "atomic" clocks are very nice to have.
