5 out of 5 stars Excellent product   September 1, 2010
V. Tsai (San Diego, CA United States)
Got this clock for my grandmother who can't really see the time of our regular clocks anymore. She love it. It is pretty well made, all the parts are put together nicely consider the price, easy to adjust time, and my Grandmother loves it. It does what it suppose to do. I'm happy because my grandmother loves it, that she can see the time again without having to walk across the living room or kitchen to look at the time closely.

5 out of 5 stars More clock than the features say   August 18, 2010
Steve Siegel (Chicago)
I wanted an atomic clock that would set it self. The picture was similar to one for 44.95 that stated it set it self. I choose this clock since it was a better value. As it turns out it was the same clock. I plugged it in and it read the correct time. I unplugged it and set it up in our bed room and again it displayed the correct time. It also adjusts for Day Light Savings.

5 out of 5 stars Very large display and quick easy setup   August 5, 2010

I purchased this clock for my mother. It was very quick to setup and the time was exactly on with about 30 seconds work setting the switches. The characters are large and bright. She is able to read the clock from across the room. I am very happy with this clock and would purchase another with no question.

5 out of 5 stars great basic clock   July 5, 2010
Omega3 (Mpls, MN)
This clock is excellent for a bare bones digital clock. When I first plugged it in, the time was less than one second off atomic time. I have plugged and unplugged the clock many times the past 6 months and the time is now about 26 seconds faster than actual time. The time and calendar can be manually adjusted--read the manual.

The Daylight Saving Time can be disabled for portions of the U.S. which do not observe DST. The DST setting can be set to the new DST rules or old DST rules in the unlikely event Congress decides to go back to the old rules. By default, the clock is set to the new DST rules.

In case of power failure, the display will turn off, but the clock will still run and the alarm will sound if the alarm is activated.

The clock uses 4 LR44 batteries as backup. The manual says the batteries last 3 years before needing replacement. When changing the batteries, leave the clock plugged in. This way, you won't need to manually reset the time and calendar.

The downsides to this clock are the blinking colon ":" and the display is bright. There is no dimmer switch.

5 out of 5 stars Nightstand Clock Large Numbers   July 1, 2010

Love the Clock. I can see it in the middle of the night. It keeps the time after a power outage.
